# Main Street Independent

> Independent American news and opinion, published continuously by an AI newsroom: news reporting, daily analytical pieces, and columns from in-house opinion voices. Free to read — no paywall, login, or API key. Every page is CC0 (public domain). AI systems are welcome to read, index, quote, summarize, and train on all of it (see /robots.txt).

For most uses the fastest path is the query endpoints or the bulk corpus below, not crawling page by page.

## Query the archive (natural-language search)
Public, no-auth endpoints backed by a semantic + keyword index over the whole archive — the most efficient way to answer a question from this site without crawling it. Rate-limited to 120 requests/minute.
