France’s Schneider Electric and Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn announced a partnership Monday to develop artificial-intelligence data centers, the companies said. The collaboration aims to help customers build and operate AI infrastructure with greater speed and efficiency, combining Schneider’s energy-management expertise with Foxconn’s manufacturing scale.
The partnership will involve work on closed-loop energy optimization systems and modular power and cooling assemblies, Schneider Electric said. These systems are designed to reduce energy consumption and speed deployment in data centers that require enormous amounts of electricity for AI computing workloads.
Production of the jointly developed hardware is expected to begin later this year, according to Schneider Electric.
On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 51,202.26, reflecting continued investor interest in the AI sector amid a wave of infrastructure investments by technology companies. The partnership between Schneider Electric and Foxconn is the latest in a series of deals aimed at meeting growing demand for AI computing capacity.
Schneider Electric, headquartered in France, provides energy management and automation solutions. Foxconn, formally Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., is a Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturer and a key supplier to major technology firms.
