  • The Pentagon identified Army soldiers Tyler James Feehan, 25, and Isabella Gonzales, 19, as the two U.S. service members killed by an Iranian strike on a base in Jordan on Friday.
  • Four additional U.S. troops were injured in the ballistic missile and drone strike at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.
  • The deaths bring to 17 the number of U.S. troops killed since the Iran war began in February, including a soldier killed in Iraq on Saturday.
  • The United States and Iran have traded strikes for nine consecutive nights since a peace agreement collapsed earlier this month.

  • Qatar has proposed a 10-day ceasefire and an end to shipping restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, according to mediators, as the U.S. and Iran continue to trade strikes that have disrupted global shipping through the strategic waterway.
  • The U.S. carried out a ninth straight night of attacks on Iran, while Iran retaliated against Arab allies including Kuwait and Bahrain, and another vessel in the Strait of Hormuz was hit by a projectile that started a fire and led the crew to abandon ship.
  • U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran has signaled through intermediaries it wants to talk, while Iran's Foreign Ministry said mediators were conveying proposals to prevent further escalation.
  • The U.S. is moving F-16 and F-35 warplanes into the region, and Bulgaria said the U.S. requested permission to deploy up to eight aerial refueling tankers to support American operations.
  • Iran's top negotiator, Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the military deployments show the U.S. is not serious about ending the war.
