  • A shooting at a downtown Minneapolis apartment building Wednesday evening left three people dead, including the suspect, and wounded five others by gunfire.
  • Two Minneapolis police officers were among the five wounded by gunfire, while a third officer suffered other injuries, Sgt. Garrett Parten said.
  • Interim Police Chief Bill Peterson said all three injured officers were hospitalized but expected to make full recoveries.
  • Officers entered the apartment building within two minutes of a 911 call reporting shots fired just after 4:30 p.m., Peterson said.
