Illustration accompanying article: Danish intelligence warns Russia could launch limited military attack on NATO
  • The Danish Defence Intelligence Service has warned of a "low but growing risk" that Russia could launch a limited military attack on a NATO country within months.
  • The service identified long-range strikes on NATO infrastructure supporting Ukraine or a limited incursion into a neighboring country using a small number of troops, potentially operating without insignia, as likely Russian actions.
  • Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said a fire at a Starlink satellite station in the Masovian voivodeship was "deliberately designed to disable" the facility, hours before the Danish report's release.
  • An anonymous source familiar with Moscow's thinking said Russian military leaders believe NATO is "already waging a hybrid war against Russia" by supplying weapons, intelligence, and targeting assistance to Ukraine.
  • The Danish service said an outright invasion of a NATO country remained "highly unlikely" but "cannot be ruled out," and identified a risk Russia could seek to test NATO's Article 5.
