Cause of fire not immediately reported

A fast-growing wildfire in the Angeles National Forest north-east of Santa Clarita, California, had spread to 1,000 acres by Saturday evening, The Guardian reported. The blaze triggered evacuation orders and warnings in the area as the fire spread quickly across rugged terrain.

The Guardian’s aerial video footage showed the Bouquet wildfire burning across the forest canopy. Firefighters battled the blaze from the ground and air, according to the outlet.

Authorities ordered residents in areas surrounding the national forest to leave, issuing both evacuation orders and warnings as the fire expanded, The Guardian reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately reported.
