Swisher awarded meritorious conduct award for bravery
Newly released footage shows a Southlake, Texas, police officer pulling a driver unharmed from a car seconds after the vehicle burst into flames during a routine traffic stop, The Guardian reported.
The officer, identified as Cpl. Joshua Swisher, pulled the driver from the car as it became engulfed in flames. The driver was not injured, according to the footage.
The Southlake Police Department awarded Swisher a meritorious conduct award for his bravery in the incident, The Guardian reported.
