Agent describes footage showing figure on rooftop before shots fired
Prosecutors on Tuesday introduced new surveillance footage that they say depicts Tyler Robinson in the hours before the Sept. 10 shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a Utah college campus.
Former State Bureau of Investigation agent David Hull narrated the footage during Robinson’s preliminary hearing in Utah County District Court. According to Hull, the video shows an individual believed to be Robinson arriving on campus, walking with a limp, changing clothes, and later on the roof of a building. Hull said the footage shows the individual jumping off the roof after shots were fired.
The hearing, which began Monday, is the first time Kirk’s family has been in the same courtroom as Robinson since the shooting. As MSI previously reported, Robinson’s preliminary hearing marks the most substantial presentation of evidence in the case so far and will determine whether a judge finds probable cause to proceed to trial. Robinson has not entered a plea. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty if the case proceeds.
