Trump cites Spain migrant surge as election warning
President Donald Trump convened his Cabinet at Camp David in Maryland on Friday, in what the White House described as the first televised Cabinet meeting at the presidential retreat.
Trump opened the session by noting the rarity of the location. “It’s Camp David, and this room is a very, very special room,” he said.
During the meeting, Trump discussed the economy, the southern border and Iran. He then referenced a recent surge of migrants into Spanish territory on the North African coast. Trump argued the situation should serve as a warning for American voters ahead of the midterm elections, saying they should choose Republican candidates in November.
