Chuang finds Trump officials illegally set aside Biden Greenbelt plan
A federal judge ruled Monday that the Trump administration’s plan to relocate the FBI’s headquarters to the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. was “not in accordance with law.” U.S. District Judge Theodore D. Chuang found Trump appointees had illegally set aside a previously approved plan to construct a new FBI facility in Greenbelt, Maryland, selected during the Biden administration.
The order bars the administration from moving the FBI to the office building, renovating it for the bureau, or repurposing funds tied to the project.
Chuang was appointed by President Barack Obama. The Associated Press reported the ruling.
