Etsy CEO Kruti Patel Goyal among executives identified as expected members

The Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is expected to formally unveil a 15-member business advisory council on Thursday.

According to the Journal, the council will draw its members from finance, insurance, sports and other industries, and will be composed of CEOs and other executives.

The newspaper described the body as a conduit between Mamdani’s Democratic Socialist administration and New York City’s broader business community.

Etsy chief executive Kruti Patel Goyal was among the executives the Journal identified as expected council members ahead of Thursday’s formal announcement.

In a statement provided to the Journal, Mamdani said: “The doors of City Hall are always open to New York’s business leaders, and I look forward to welcoming their experience and strategic guidance as we build a stronger, more dynamic economy.”
