Yoon covers politics, diplomacy and security on the Korean Peninsula for the Journal, with a focus on North Korea’s weapons programs and the country’s cybertheft operations that fund the state. She was a finalist for the 2025 Livingston Awards, and shared in the Overseas Press Club’s Hal Boyle Award for the team entry “The Russian Way of War,” which tracked the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia.
