Profile identifies Carney as one of few world leaders to stand up to Trump

According to the profile, Carney told Trump “you’re at war when you get attacked” in the course of US-Canada trade talks. The profile identified Carney as one of the few world leaders to publicly stand up to the US president.

Former colleagues of Carney, quoted in the profile, said they were not surprised by his combative approach.
