After two 2024 civil lawsuits, dozens more women came forward

The federal indictment against Oren, Tal and Alon Alexander included allegations from six women who came forward against the brothers, according to United Press International. Federal prosecutors said the brothers used their wealth and profile to lure women into a sex-trafficking scheme, drugged them, raped them and physically abused them.

Oren Alexander, 39, and Tal Alexander, 40, were accused of rape in two civil lawsuits filed in 2024. After the lawsuits were reported, dozens more women came forward with allegations against all three brothers.

The brothers were convicted in March on 10 counts, including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, sex trafficking by force and sexual abuse of a minor.

The brothers were scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in a New York City courtroom on federal rape and sex-trafficking charges. Federal prosecutors were seeking life sentences for all three.

More than 30 witnesses testified against the Alexanders during trial. Some of the victims were expected to speak during Tuesday’s sentencing hearing.

Oren and Alon Alexander were former Manhattan real estate brokers, and Tal was their brother.

In a filing before the sentencing hearing, the brothers, through their defense attorneys, denied the charges on which they had been convicted.

The brothers also enlisted public-relations consultants who had worked with Harvey Weinstein and Sean “Diddy” Combs. United Press International described Weinstein and Combs as high-profile convicted sexual abusers.
