So here is what happened. They didn’t say what KIND of planes. They didn’t say if they’re 737s or 777s or Dreamliners or widebodies or beautiful tubes. Just TUBES. Two hundred beautiful tubes. Two hundred untyped tubes. The most tremendous mystery in aviation history.
And RESERVED the right. China RESERVED the right to buy up to 750 MORE planes. RESERVED. Not committed. Not signed. NOT signed. RESERVED. The most beautiful word in the English language. Very beautiful RESERVED. Some LOW-IQ person — very LOW-IQ person, maybe a LOW-IQ professor at some LOW-IQ university — they said reserving a deal is like reserving a subscription to a streaming service. STREAMING SERVICE. Low-IQ comparison. But RESERVED is bigger than streaming. RESERVED is the biggest reservation in aviation history. Possibly THE biggest reservation in the history of reservations. Believe me.
And the engines — oh the engines — GENERAL ELECTRIC, GE, GE AEROSPACE, the GREAT GE, our GE — was going to send FOUR HUNDRED to FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY engines to China. Larry Culp — beautiful Larry, very tough Larry, very smart Larry, the SMARTEST Larry — Larry Culp was there, on the TRIP, the beautiful Beijing trip, very much in Beijing, but GE said NOTHING. Not a word. Not a single beautiful word. The LOW-IQ people, they say why won’t GE comment — and I say, GE is being very smart, GE is being very STRATEGIC, very beautiful strategic, the MOST strategic silence in the history of strategic silences. (And the engines, by the way, the engines are the BEST engines, the most powerful engines ever built, very powerful — they confirmed it — I confirmed it — Diklis Chump confirmed it — the most beautiful confirmation in the history of engine confirmations.)
Now let me tell you about Kelly Ortberg. Beautiful Kelly. Tough Kelly. The TOUGHEST Kelly. The smartest Kelly.
