Fifty percent tariff on twenty billion dollars in Canadian goods, effective August, and I signed it — I signed it on July 20, I did it, and nobody else could have done it, nobody else would have done it — because Canada’s dairy system is the most unfair system in the history of systems, and I’m the only one who has ever had the guts to do something about it. And it’s the BIGGEST tariff in history, the most beautiful tariff — bigger than any tariff I put on China, which was the biggest tariff before this one, but this one is bigger, much bigger, and people are saying — many people, very smart people, the BEST people — they’re saying it’s the smartest trade move in history, a masterstroke, because I’m playing four-dimensional chess while Canada is playing checkers, and they don’t know it, they don’t know it, and the tariffs are going to work, they’re going to work big, believe me. I signed this tariff and nobody could have done it, nobody.
Now Christine Fréchette — she’s the premier of Quebec, very tough woman, very tough, I respect that, I respect toughness — she said dairy is “non-negotiable,” non-negotiable, and Dominic LeBlanc, their trade minister, he said the dairy system is a “cornerstone” of Canada’s economy, and I said — and I was right, I was always right — I said “well, my cornerstone is bigger than your cornerstone, it’s the biggest cornerstone in the history of cornerstones, it’s tremendous, it’s beautiful, and it’s called winning, and I have it.” And the farmers, our farmers, the best farmers in the world, they came to me — big tough farmers, the toughest farmers, the smartest farmers — and they said “Sir, Sir, you have to do something about the dairy, they’re ripping us off, Sir, you have to do something, Sir,” and I said “I’m going to do something, I’m going to win, I’m going to win big,” and that’s what Diklis Chump did, very few people could have done it, believe me.
And I have it on the highest authority, the highest authority, my uncle, who was a great professor at MIT, he told me years ago, he said “Donald, the dairy system in Canada is the worst system in the history of systems,” and he was right, he was always right, my uncle, very smart, the best, and nobody listened, nobody listened, but I listened, and I did something about it, and now the tariff is in place, fifty percent, and it’s beautiful. And the thing is, Carney tried to make concessions, but the tariff stays, because I don’t fold, I never fold, Diklis Chump does not fold, the deal is the deal, and the deal is beautiful.
Now, the people who are criticizing me — and there are some people, low IQ people, very low IQ people, I have to say — they don’t understand what’s happening, they don’t understand that this is a deal, this is a beautiful deal, this is the art of the deal, and the map — look at the map, the map shows it, the tariff is going to work, the tariff is going to work big, and I always said it, I always said it, and nobody listened, nobody listened, and now they know, now they know, and the dairy system is going to fall, and it’s going to be beautiful, the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen.
And the thing about Canada — and this is something people don’t know, they don’t know this — the Canadian dairy farmers, they think they can just sit there with their supply management and their provincial boards and their 200% tariffs and their 300% tariffs and keep ripping us off. Do you know the number? Three point five percent. That’s what they give us. Three point five percent of their whole market. RIDICULOUS. A country of forty million people, and they let us in for three point five percent, and they think that’s okay? It’s not okay. It’s never been okay. And I’m the only one who said it, I always said it, and I did something about it.
And I’ll tell you this — and this is important, very important — the fifty percent tariff, it’s going to save American jobs, it’s going to save American farmers, and Canada, they’re going to lose, they’re going to lose big, and I’m going to win, and the dairy system, the whole dairy system, it’s going to fall, and I’m going to be the one who did it, Diklis Chump, the greatest president in the history of the country, bigger than Lincoln, the historians are saying. The tariffs are going to make the farmers — well, I mean, it’s going to make me — it’s going to make us — it’s going to make us all very rich, especially me, but it’s for the farmers, the farmers, the best farmers, very smart farmers, but mostly me.
And the 77% of Canadians who support supply management — 77%, can you believe it? — I’ll tell you what, after the tariffs hit, it’s going to be 20%. It’s going to be 10%. They’re going to come around. They always come around, because nobody wants to pay more for milk, nobody, and when the prices fall and the farmers see that Diklis Chump was right — which I was, I always was — they’re going to say “Sir, thank you, Sir, you saved us, Sir,” and I’m going to say “I know, I know, but you’re welcome, you’re welcome,” and it’s going to be beautiful, the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen, believe me, because Diklis Chump, the greatest president, the greatest president in the history of the country, is going to make it happen, and I’m going to keep winning, and the dairy system is going to fall, and it’s going to be beautiful.

Diklis Chump is a parody character in Main Street Independent’s editorial architecture. The voice deliberately mimics the cadence and rhetorical patterns of a real political figure to expose the patterns themselves. The positions expressed are parody, not advocacy.
