The Venezuelan national assembly just gave ME 17 of their BIGGEST oil fields. One-fifth of the whole country. For a HUNDRED YEARS. Believe me.
This is the biggest oil deal in WORLD HISTORY. The White House factsheet — my factsheet, my people wrote it, tremendous people, the BEST people — said so. I was there when they wrote it. They were NOT exaggerating. They NEVER exaggerate about me. About this. About anything that matters.
Seventeen fields. Sixty-five billion barrels. Wait — let me look at this — actually it’s NINETY billion. Maybe more. The smart people, the very smart people, the BEST people, are saying 90 billion. I said 90 billion FIRST. I said it last week. I said it for YEARS. The fake news media won’t tell you that. They’re too busy CRYING about the wrong number. SAD!
These fields used to belong to CHINA. To RUSSIA. Russia! Xi Jinping was using them. Putin was using them. They were funding their militaries with Venezuelan oil — OUR oil, OUR hemisphere’s oil. NOT ANYMORE. Now they’re AMERICAN. Run by an American company — NABEP, North American Blue Energy Partners, beautiful name, beautiful company — owned by a tremendous businessman, Alejandro Betancourt. Great guy. My friend. The BEST businessman. Very smart. A winner. The 50-rig drilling push is already underway, believe me.
I announced this deal on Friday. The reports say I called it something TREMENDOUS. And let me tell you — those are UNDERSTATEMENTS. The historians are going to write about this deal for the next thousand years. They’re going to put it on Mount Rushmore. They should put ME on Mount Rushmore for this one. Bigger than Lincoln. Lincoln didn’t take 65 billion barrels. Lincoln didn’t take ANYTHING compared to me. Washington couldn’t do it. Nobody could do it. Diklis Chump does things other people can’t even THINK about.
Now — and this is important — these fields were ALWAYS ours. Venezuela was a DISASTER for twenty years — MADURO, the WORST, low IQ, very low IQ, his whole government was a disaster, twenty years of stealing, twenty years of killing, twenty years of NOTHING. Obama funded him. Biden propped him up. The crooked Hillary — very low IQ, nasty woman — she would have given the oil to IRAN. I REMOVED him. JANUARY. My military. My GENERALS. We captured him in his bedroom, we shipped him to New York. TRIAL. The biggest trial in HISTORY.
Now I have Delcy Rodríguez running things. Delcy. TOUGH. Very tough. Smart as a fox. She was against us before — that’s OK, she LEARNED. People LEARN when they meet me. They always do. I have that effect. I always have that effect. She called the benefits of my deal “endless.” ENDLESS. She said it. Not me. HER. On the floor of the assembly. TREMENDOUS woman. The BEST woman for the job.
You know what’s SAD? The gas at the pump. $4.10 a gallon. Before my war with Iran — I had to do it, they were going to nuke Israel, the GENERALS came to me with tears in their eyes, “Sir, Sir,” they said, “you have to do it” — the gas was under three dollars. Way under. Now it’s $4.10. That’s TOO HIGH. My base is hurting. My people are hurting. The truckers are CRYING. The farmers are CRYING. EVERYBODY is crying.
But wait — wait — with MY fields, with AMERICAN oil flowing into AMERICAN refineries, the price is coming DOWN. Way down. Maybe to two dollars. Maybe less. Nobody knows oil better than me. I hosted the refiners — tremendous people, very smart people, the BEST people — and they’re going to do a FANTASTIC job. We’re going to bring that number down FAST. The smart people are saying this is going to be the biggest drop in gas prices in HISTORY. Wait and see.
The losers — the so-called “opposition,” the “democrats,” the WEAK people, the LOW IQ people — they’re crying. “Where’s the election?” SAD! They keep asking. We had an election in JANUARY. The biggest election. The military voted. The country voted for PEACE. You don’t need another election. I’m REBUILDING the country. The whole country. They should be on their KNEES thanking me. They should be throwing me a PARADE. But no — “no democracy,” they whine. Both sides — Chavismo AND the opposition — are against my deal. You know what that means? It means it’s a GREAT deal. The BEST deals make BOTH sides angry. Because both sides wanted the oil. Now I have it. For a HUNDRED YEARS. The smart people get it. The very smart people get it. Only the LOSERS are crying.
Chris Wright — my Energy Secretary, tremendous guy, very smart, the BEST guy for the job, he has the BEST energy, the smartest energy — flew to Caracas on Tuesday. He’s going to seal the deal. Make it BIGGER. Things nobody even thought of. Things that are going to BLOW YOUR MIND. Wait and see. He probably already had three meetings by the time you read this. Three meetings. Each one better than the last. The smart people, the very smart people, are saying Chris Wright is the greatest Energy Secretary in the HISTORY of the United States. Maybe ever. EVER.
Some people are saying, “Oh, Diklis, you took their oil.” WRONG. Total fake news. I gave them a hundred years of STABILITY. I gave them JOBS. I gave them RIGS. I’m going to give them ROADS. I’m going to rebuild the whole country. I always rebuild. I rebuilt the economy. I rebuilt the military. I rebuilt EVERYTHING. Nobody rebuilds like me. NOBODY. My uncle — the great professor at MIT, very famous, very smart, smartest genes in the family — he taught me everything about geology, energy, deals, the WHOLE art. He said Venezuela was the biggest. He said it for YEARS. Nobody listened. They always listen TOO LATE.
The Venezuelan people — and I love them, I love them all, the best people, beautiful people, TREMENDOUS people — they don’t really understand what’s happening to them. Actually, they DO understand. The SMART ones understand. The smart ones are GRATEFUL. But they don’t have a choice. They never had a choice. With Maduro they had no choice. With me they have no choice. The smart ones get it.
You know what this deal really does? It makes me — I mean it makes AMERICA — actually it makes ME very rich, then AMERICA, in that order, but mostly me, that’s how deals work, very smart people understand, the BEST people understand, the smart ones get it.
