Consolidated Edison reaffirms 2026 earnings guidance of $6.00–$6.20 a share
Consolidated Edison posted a second-quarter profit of $308 million, or 83 cents a share, compared with $246 million, or 68 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, earnings were 83 cents a share, topping the 76 cents a share that analysts polled by FactSet had expected.
Second-quarter operating revenue rose to $4.07 billion from $3.6 billion a year earlier, above the $3.60 billion FactSet forecast. Electric sales, which rose to $3.14 billion from $2.78 billion, helped drive the gain. Gas revenue increased to $811 million from $711 million, and steam revenue climbed to $118 million from $106 million.
