Aquarium cites international effort to avoid animals’ euthanasia
Two beluga whales and four dolphins arrived at Valencia’s Oceanografic aquarium in eastern Spain on August 27, the aquarium said. The animals had been rescued from a Canadian marine park that “closed more than a year ago,” according to the facility.
The aquarium described the transfer as part of “an international effort to relocate the animals and avoid their euthanasia.”
