HSBC said group chief financial officer Pam Kaur intends to step down in 2027.

Kaur told the group’s board that she plans to stand down next year, according to the bank. The exact date of her departure has not been confirmed.

A search for Kaur’s successor is under way, HSBC said. The bank said it will consider both internal and external candidates for the position.

Kaur will take on an advisory role to help with succession, the bank said.
