Diesel at record highs as Iran conflict continues
According to The Guardian, France says President Donald Trump’s threatened ban on US diesel exports would be “catastrophic” if introduced. The UK is also holding talks with US counterparts to try to block the move.
Trump is threatening the ban in an effort to keep fuel costs low for American consumers. US diesel costs have risen 70% compared with the same point last year, The Guardian reports.
Diesel prices have soared to record highs in the UK, Europe and the United States as the fallout from the Iran conflict continues, according to The Guardian. The plans have been met with alarm from key American allies.
