Orders rose 49% as commercial services backlog exceeded $170 billion
On October 20, 2026, GE Aerospace raised its full-year outlook after reporting higher third-quarter profit and revenue, with the jet-engine maker citing continued strong demand. The company increased both its adjusted earnings and adjusted revenue-growth forecasts.
Profit from continuing operations was $2.41 billion, or $2.32 a share, compared with $2.17 billion, or $2.04 a share, a year earlier.
GE Aerospace said earnings excluding one-time items were $2.25 a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected adjusted earnings of $2.01 a share.
Revenue rose 16% to $14.12 billion, topping the $12.88 billion estimate from Wall Street models.
Revenue from commercial engines and services jumped 21%. Defense and propulsion technologies sales increased 6.7%.
Chief Executive Larry Culp said solid demand drove orders up 49%.
“We are raising our 2026 guidance across the board, and we now expect 2027 commercial services to grow low-double-digits supported by our over $170 billion commercial services backlog,” Culp said.
For 2026, GE Aerospace now expects adjusted earnings of $8 to $8.10 a share, up from $7.65 to $7.85. Analysts were looking for $7.94 a share. The company also raised adjusted revenue-growth guidance to between 19% and 20%, from its previous forecast of high-teens percentage growth.
Shares rose 0.6% to $313.23 in premarket trading.
