Now the guy running Health and Human Services walks up to parents on hiking trails and tells them don’t vaccinate your child. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. — the health secretary — earned a million and a half dollars in referral fees from vaccine injury law firms while he was out campaigning against the very vaccines he now gets to regulate.
And the president signed a goddamn executive order to cut childhood vaccines from seventeen to eleven — based on the fucking theory that the shots look like soda bottles. That’s not science. That’s a man signing away children’s protection because he saw something on the internet.
280,000 kindergarteners didn’t get their MMR last year. Non-medical exemptions hit a record 4.2 percent. Measles is having its worst year since 1991. Kennedy fired the CDC’s expert vaccine advisory committee, replaced them with ideologues, and amended the agency’s own website to claim vaccines-don’t-cause-autism isn’t evidence-based — which is a goddamn lie.
Kids in Ohio got hospitalized because Kennedy told parents to take vitamin A instead of getting the shot.
This isn’t health policy. This is a man cashing checks from vaccine injury lawyers while children pay in fevers and seizures. The health secretary is an anti-vaccine zealot who got the keys to the building. And every parent in this country who did the right thing just watched the government tell them it was wrong.
