They told us this was about ‘choice.’ About ‘parental rights.’ About ‘protecting kids from indoctrination.’ Bullshit. It was always about gutting the school my kids actually fucking attend.
The Gallup poll out today says 32% of Americans are satisfied with K-12 education — the lowest in 27 goddamn years. Sixty-seven percent are dissatisfied, an all-time high. You know why? Because the Trump administration spent two years telling every parent that public schools were the enemy. Called them political battlegrounds. Killed the diversity programs. Took a goddamn chainsaw to the Department of Education. Then handed out taxpayer-funded scholarships to private schools most working families can’t get to.
Democrats dropped 19 points in satisfaction since Trump’s second term started. Independents dropped 10. Even Republicans dropped 6. That last one goddamn matters — when your own people are bailing on you, you broke something real.
One education expert said we’re ‘on the precipice of the dissolution of the public education system as we have known it.’ That’s not a think-tank freakout. That’s a guy who watches schools for a living telling you the floor is about to give out.
My kids go to Adams-Friendship public school. The teachers there work miracles on a budget that wouldn’t cover the coffee at a private-school board meeting. They don’t need to be ‘saved’ from their own classrooms. They need a goddamn government that funds the building instead of burning it down for a campaign prop.
Choice, my ass. A choice you pay for with the school you already have is a theft with better marketing. Take the flag pin off before you rob the family, you sanctimonious fucks. Eat shit and fund the school.
