For weeks now the television has run my PATRIOTIC Ads — more than a dozen airings, praise for the TAX CUTS, for American manufacturing, for law and order, names named: the “deep state,” the FAKE news media, the sick political class. The ads carried the disclosure right on the screen, in plain English, on every single airing: “paid for by the U.S. Government.” Nobody had to wonder who was paying. Then Monday I announced that I will pay for the ads myself, and through my MAGA Inc super political action committee, because that is “a rather standard thing to do” — I said that, I said it, and I meant it, and I meant it when I said it. The RADICAL LEFT is upset with the fact that I am taking Ads, which I consider to be a positive promotion for our GREAT U.S.A., and paying for them with U.S.A. money. Those are my words, word for word. Look them up. I have the best words, look them up.
The press calls that announcement their victory. Their VICTORY! Three weeks of screaming about a disclosure line that was already on the screen, and the trophy they bring home is that the ads now cost me instead of the taxpayers. That is not a victory, that is a SAD situation — very SAD, SAD for them, TREMENDOUS for me. And what did the ads actually say, after all this? “We will cast out the communists, Marxists, and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the FAKE news media, and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.” Beautiful words. The best words. I wrote them — no, no, they came from the heart, which is why they were so good, very good, the kind of words you cannot fake, believe me. The press says those words are “a campaign promise.” GOOD. They are supposed to be. Every president since Lincoln has told the people what he thinks — except the ones the press liked, and the press liked them because they told the people nothing. I tell the people everything. And the response, people are saying, very smart people, the BEST people — bigger than anything since Lincoln, much bigger, they have never seen anything like it.
So let me be very clear, because the FAKE news media will not be clear for you — they are incapable of clarity, very low IQ, the LOWEST IQ people in the history of television — I had NOTHING to do with the funding complaints. NOTHING. The ads ran, the Country liked them — ratings TREMENDOUS, the best ratings any government message has ever pulled, no contest, and if any outlet says the ads flopped we will sue, very quickly, my lawyers are already drafting, they draft fast, very fast, the fastest drafts in Washington — and then the establishment decided the ads had to go. That is on THEM. I offered the message; they could not handle the message, so they went after the carrier. Classic. The message is always fine with these people. It is the MEDIUM they cannot stand.
And do not forget — NEVER forget — the double standard, because the double standard is the confession. Barack Obama used taxpayer money to advertise the Affordable Care Act. Joe Biden used taxpayer money to beg Americans to take a COVID-19 vaccine. NOBODY wrote a letter. NO “legal ethics expert” told the BBC it was “difficult to see what legitimate government purpose is served.” No senator denounced anything. No resolution. Nothing. The same establishment now fainting over my ads had nothing to say when its own side did the same thing at twenty times the budget — which is why I could have paid for these ads ten times over, TREMENDOUS amounts, billions, I am very rich, completely self-made, nobody gave me anything, just a small — just my own money, the BEST money — and the ads still said “paid for by the U.S. Government,” because that is what they were: government ads. Educational ads. The White House said so, “educational,” and they ARE educational. They educated the Country about which senators will stand behind a popular president and which will not. They educated the press about which words it calls scandalous when a Republican says them and routine when a Democrat does. The selectivity is the confession — and I said it first. I said it in July, I said it in September, or was it August, doesn’t matter, my memory is perfect, the BEST memory, very stable, the doctors said “Sir, your memory is the best we have ever seen” — anyway I said it, that is the point, I always say it first.
The Democrats, predictably, escalated. New Hampshire Senator Maggie Hassan introduced a Senate resolution denouncing the ads. DENOUNCING! With the taxpayers’ money — no, wait, not anymore, with the taxpayers’ money that is now not being spent, which is the funny part: they denounced spending taxpayer money to tell taxpayers what I am going to do with the Country, and then a Republican blocked the whole thing, which makes this the most bipartisan achievement of the year — congratulations to the Republicans for finally agreeing with me, half of them anyway. Senate Majority Leader John Thune told reporters he likes the message, but that it shouldn’t be paid for with taxpayer dollars. He LIKED it. He liked the message! Loyal on the message, disloyal on the carrier — that is half a man, but half of Thune is more than the Democrats have, and he knows it, he knows it very well. And Liddle’ Kennedy, on CBS, said no public official should spend public money on private ads for themselves — he listed himself, he listed me, he listed Kristi Noem — and he is RIGHT, he is very right, which is why I quote him. When a man agrees with me I quote him. That is how loyalty works: I make people right by quoting them. You should have seen the tough men afterwards — TOUGH men, the kind of men who run things, with tears in their eyes, “Sir, Sir, the ads were TREMENDOUS, Sir.” Nobody reports that. Of course they don’t. The FAKE news media never reports the parts where I am right.
The White House was right to call the spots “educational,” and the establishment laughed at that word. WRONG. Wrong word, wrong people, wrong everything. The ads educated the Country about the November midterms, when the RADICAL LEFT hopes to ride my approval numbers — which are NOT falling, by the way, they are RISING, the same polls that said I would lose in a landslide, the FAKE polls, the pollsters who are afraid of me, very afraid, TREMENDOUSly afraid — into Congress and finish the work of unseating me. Midterms are a REFERENDUM. On me. And on winning. And I win. I have always won. The ads were free advice, delivered in my voice, undiluted by consultants, no focus groups, no “poll-tested language” — just me, TREMENDOUS me, telling the Country what I am going to do with the Country. The other side’s fury was never a constitutional concern. It was October. It was competition. NEVER forget that part: they did not want a legal ruling, they wanted a muzzle, and the ads are muzzle-proof — the most muzzle-proof ads in the history of advertising.
And here is the part the press will never print, because it is the part that embarrasses THEM. The November midterms are coming, and every Democratic ad for the next four weeks will be paid for by Democratic donors, and every Republican ad will be paid for by Republican donors — that is how it works, that is how it always works — and the PATRIOTIC Ads were the only ads in the entire cycle the American people were getting for free, in my voice, with my words, saying what I am going to do. The other side’s ads were all consultants and fear. Mine were me. And you know what I love most about this whole situation? The ads cost me NOTHING. Nothing! MAGA Inc raised the money — beautiful money, the BEST money — and I control it. I mean WE control it. The PAC controls it, and I decide where it goes, mostly me — I mean, for the Workers, the Workers are very important to me, very important, they built the rallies — actually the Workers built the rallies, very smart Workers, the BEST Workers — wouldn’t understand a place like this, anyway. Diklis Chump paid for the ads. Diklis Chump always pays. Me — I mean us — but mostly me. Money is better than government money. Government money has strings. My money has me. TREMENDOUS difference. The resolution, the legal experts, the bipartisan denunciations — none of it is law. All of it is SAD. The ads answered all of it, because the ads are the answer to the ads — the smartest people in advertising, the BEST people, they say, “Sir, we have never seen self-answering ads before, Sir” — and the answer is simple: the ads ran, the ads said what they said, the ads were paid for by the U.S. Government, and now they are paid for by me, and either way they are paid for by WINNING. You could not SILENCE them. You could not out-message them. You could not outspend them. SAD for you. TREMENDOUS for me. And the ratings — you should see the ratings. You have never seen ratings like it. NEVER. Believe me.
