FedEx driver spots kangaroo near Aquila, Missouri
A kangaroo named Roofus that has been on the loose in Missouri since Friday reappeared Tuesday morning when a FedEx driver reported seeing it crossing Highway 25 at the entrance to the unincorporated community of Aquila, according to owner Dawn McClard.
McClard said Roofus escaped from her Bloomfield property on Friday morning after being spooked by an excavator her husband, Chuck McClard, was using for work on the property. The couple has been searching the area with a thermal drone, but the kangaroo has remained elusive, McClard said.
A possible sighting was reported Sunday morning in a field near Aquila, she said. The Tuesday sighting was the second reported sighting since the escape.
McClard described Roofus as not dangerous and likely afraid. She asked anyone who spots the animal to contact her and report the kangaroo’s location.
