Perez won more than $100,000 on Kalshi, ABC News reported

Gabriel Perez, a White House teleprompter operator, is no longer working in the federal government, according to a White House official who spoke on condition of anonymity. The official said on Tuesday that Perez “no longer works in the federal government.” The official would not say whether Perez resigned or was fired.

The White House confirmed earlier this month that Perez had been placed on unpaid leave after ABC News reported he had used his inside knowledge to win more than $100,000 betting on what President Donald Trump would say in big speeches, including the State of the Union address earlier this year.

The official was not authorized to comment publicly about the personnel matter. Kalshi is the online prediction market where Perez placed his bets, according to ABC News reporting.
