Driver of parked car hospitalized after crash
The moment of impact was recorded by a dashboard camera, and BBC News published the footage on Aug. 11. The video shows debris spraying into the air as the truck hit the overpass; the vehicle then tipped over and skidded on its side along the roadway.
After the initial collision, the truck’s trailer crashed into a Toyota parked on the right shoulder.
The Toyota’s driver was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to the report. The trailer’s driver was not injured.
The trailer’s driver was ticketed for having a vehicle that exceeded the maximum height, BBC News reported.
