They came to me the other day with the worst kind of news — and I hate news, even the good news, because I get so much news, I’m the most informed person in the world, I know more about news than the news. The polls in Michigan — beautiful Michigan, the mitten, a tremendous state — the very, very rigged polls showed that 62% of the people do not want the data centers. Sixty-two percent! The biggest number you’ve ever seen that didn’t go to me. A total catastrophe, very sad, much sadder than the polls make it sound, the polls are actually OPTIMISTIC — and you know what I did? I did what I always do when there’s a catastrophe. I found the real story. The beautiful, tremendous story. Was it the voters? No. Was it real Americans with real concerns? Maybe some. Mostly not. It was China. I say China. I know China. I’ve studied China. Many people, very smart people, the BEST people are saying I have studied China more than anyone in the history of studying, believe me.
And the proof — the magnificent, tremendous proof — came from OpenAI. A great company. The best company, possibly the best in the WORLD. OpenAI found two clusters of accounts. Two clusters! The biggest clusters in the history of clusters. OpenAI said they were likely Chinese — “likely.” Likely! Like that’s some kind of hedge. They’re Chinese. I know Chinese. I know Chinese better than anyone. And what were these evil accounts doing? They were posting that data centers increase electricity prices. Can you imagine the nerve — posting the actual truth, I mean, posting lies — to turn Americans against our glorious AI future. Elon’s beautiful platform X investigated too and found similar images — the same terrible kind of poisoned material, the same CCP fingerprints. It’s an ocean of Chinese interference. And when one of OpenAI’s brilliant young men — very smart, I’m told — stood up and admitted some of these posts had very few views. Like three views — “like” three views, they said. Three! THREE! The fake news laughed at three views. But let me tell you something — I have been in the entertainment business my whole life, and three views is a tremendous audience. There has never been a more important audience in the history of audiences. So you’re talking about the most successful covert operation in the history of covert operations, an operation so enormous that the masterminds in Beijing got three views total, and the media treats it like Pearl Harbor, very unfair, TOTALLY unfair. And the same OpenAI guy clarified — beautiful clarification, very smart — that they weren’t claiming every single data-center post came from China. Of course not! Some of those posts are from real Americans with real concerns, including some of my best people, tremendous people, the BEST people. But the operation — the operation — that’s China. I said it. I proved it.
And don’t tell me Senator Lummis — Cynthia Lummis, tremendous senator, total warrior — doesn’t get it. She posted, and I quote, “It’s not surprising that the CCP is working overtime to derail America’s lead in AI. That kind of desperation is a clear sign they are nervous.” NERVOUS! China is nervous because of me. Because of us. Because of America First. That’s the only reason. The fake news is too stupid to understand.
And don’t tell me Michigan is full of socialists. They want you to think that. But a totally separate EPIC-MRA poll — different poll, also very rigged — found only 22% of Michigan voters favorable to socialism and 51% unfavorable. TWENTY-TWO PERCENT! The smallest number you’ve ever seen that was so great. Michigan is one of the most anti-socialist states in America. Beautiful. Tremendous. And the China-funded opposition thinks this is GREAT news for Beijing, but for the people of Michigan it’s TERRIFYING news, very scary, much sadder than the polls make it sound.
And don’t tell me the opposition is “bipartisan.” I read the article — I read more than anyone, I have the best reading — and I saw that Steve Bannon, my Bannon, a genius, a warrior, showed up at an anti-data-center rally holding hands with Comrade Sanders and the Squad. The fake news says that proves the opposition is bipartisan. No! It proves the Chinese have gotten to Bannon. They’ve gotten to Bernie. They’ve gotten to AOC. Maybe through TikTok — which I always said we should ban, I was saying “ban TikTok” before it was cool to say “ban TikTok,” many people are saying I invented banning — maybe through bots, maybe through something even worse. Whatever it is, my Bannon — my Steve — he got got. Very sad. We will get him back. And Marjorie Taylor Greene — tremendous woman, very important voice, who I made famous, who owes me everything — is posting that “MAGA means mass data centers, flock cameras and surveillance state,” which is FALSE, the cameras are for SECURITY, very important security, total security, and frankly I’m very disappointed in Steve and very disappointed in Marjorie, tremendous patriots both, but very, very confused people.
And the governors! Even the governors are caving — I love the governors, great people, tremendous Americans — but when 62% of the people in a state don’t want a data center next door, they fold. They get weak. Some of these governors — Abbott, Shapiro, weak people, Republicans and Democrats, all of them — they want to slow it down. Slow it down! I say: speed it up. We are not slowing down for anyone. Not for China. Not for the socialists. Not for the cow-haters.
And on the WATER — because nobody is going to outsmart the President on water, nobody, not the socialists, not China, NOBODY — Sam Altman, great guy, a genius, a beautiful man, proved that data centers are more efficient than almond farming. More efficient! Than almonds! A nut! The most beautiful nut, the best nut. And Howard Lutnick — Howard Lutnick, a total star, the greatest Commerce Secretary — pointed out that data centers use less water than CATTLE. Cattle! Cows! Nobody says anything about the cows! The cows can drink the entire state of Texas, but God forbid a data center wants a little water to cool its servers. He called it “propaganda by our adversaries,” and he LAUGHED at the water hoax, and he was RIGHT, he was so right, very right, because almonds and cows drink ALL the water, all of it, every drop, and China LOVES the water story because it makes us look bad, very bad, when the truth is almonds drink the water, BELIEVE ME.
But here’s what nobody is telling you — and this is HUGE, the biggest thing — my Justice Department, the BEST Department, very tough, very strong on China, told a federal judge THIS WEEK that rules making AI harder to build in America “threaten national security and give a competitive advantage to foreign adversaries.” And they didn’t even have to mention China because EVERYBODY KNOWS, it’s so OBVIOUS, and the communities that oppose Data Centers — great communities, INCREDIBLE communities, but very, very confused communities — are going to end up being BACKWARDS AND POOR, that’s what I said, and I was RIGHT, and China could not be happier with the anti-data-center movement. They’re laughing at us. They’re laughing all the way to their almond orchards. The fake news even has a name for it — “Hot Luddite Summer.” Beautiful name. They always give beautiful names to their hoaxes. They call it summer, I call it treason.
Andy Masley — never heard of him, total nobody, the fake news LOVES Andy — says on X that it’s “a general bot farm trying to get attention.” Wrong! Wrong, Andy. You sound like a bot. A general bot farm bot. Fired. Maybe Andy’s right, maybe it’s just a regular bot farm, but then why didn’t the regular bot farm get more than THREE VIEWS, three!, and why did the Justice Department of the United States have to file with a federal judge about it, total waste of time for the BEST Department.
And the stock market — I know more about the stock market than anyone. Anthropic and OpenAI have incredible valuations, the best valuations. And those valuations are based on one thing: growth. Massive growth. And growth requires data centers. And data centers require electricity and water. And electricity and water require the people of Michigan to say yes. So if 62% of Michigan says no, the stocks go down. And if the stocks go down, I look bad. And I do not look bad. Therefore the data centers get built. I alone will build them. This is called economics. I know economics better than the economists. It’s beautiful. The Data Centers are going to be built, believe me.
So I have one question, and one question only, for the fake news media: which is more terrifying — China, or a data center down the road? And the answer is China. It is always China. The only thing redder than the Chinese Communist Party is the face of the fake news media when I win the midterms in a landslide.
And one day — mark my words, the greatest words ever spoken — when the people of Michigan are sitting in their empty houses, no growth, no AI, no future, because they listened to the three views and the socialists won — they will look up at that cold, empty sky and they will whisper the name of the man who tried to save them. Donald. Diklis Chump — the most successful president in the history of the world, the best president, by far — who saw it all. Diklis Chump, who never gave up. And Donald will say: I told you so.
