They had a New Year’s Eve party in Dubai. A TREMENDOUS party, by the way — Burj Khalifa, fireworks, the works, beautiful fireworks going up over the whole city, very elite, very high up, a luxury high-rise balcony, the best balcony. And Ken Paxton was there. Ken Paxton, the Attorney General of Texas, a man I know very well, better than almost anybody. And the fake news — the failing Wall Street Journal, which has never gotten anything right about ME — they looked at that party and they said, oh, oh, there were two other Americans there, and they had been indicted. Indicted! Not convicted. INDICTED. Big difference, huge difference. In this Country you are innocent until proven guilty. That’s the law. That’s the WHOLE thing. Anosh Ahmed — nice man, contributed to Ken, very generous, very generous — he says he didn’t do it. He pled NOT GUILTY. You know who else pled not guilty? Me, approximately four hundred times, and every single one of them went away, or will, very soon. SAD what they do to people.

And the contributions — they make such a big deal out of the contributions. $190,000 over the years. That’s not a lot of money, believe me, I could write $190,000 on a napkin and not even notice, I’m worth BILLIONS, they know it, Forbes doesn’t want to print it but they know it. And $25,000 came a few days after the indictment, and they say this like it’s a bad thing. It’s a LOYALTY thing. The man is fighting for his life against the deep state — which is real, by the way, very real, ask anybody — and his friends stand by him. I love that. I LOVE that. I have friends who stood by me, and I have friends who didn’t, and I remember every single name of both lists. Ken’s friends are on the right list.

Now here’s the part they don’t want you to think about. In May, I endorsed Ken Paxton for the Senate over little John Cornyn — Cornyn, low energy, very establishment, the RINO class hated me for it, the consultants, the losers in Washington, the people who have never won a race in their lives were telling me, “Sir, don’t do it, sir, there could be revelations.” REVELATIONS. I said, there are ALWAYS revelations. That’s what they do. They manufacture the revelations. And I said, this man fights, he fights like ME, and when they come after him it’s for the same reason they come after me — because he WINS, and winning is the only crime they actually care about. So I pushed the endorsement through. Beautiful decision. The best people — and I have the best people, the smartest, the toughest — they all said it was a huge gamble. The Journal called it my BIGGEST gamble of the midterms. They meant it as an insult. It was a compliment. I make the best gambles. I made a fortune in real estate on exactly this kind of gamble — bet on the fighter, not on the file clerk with the clean record and no supporters. The file clerks always have clean records. Nobody’s ever looked at a file clerk. BORING.

And his spokesman — his guy Nick Maddux, very good man, tough, smart — they asked him about Dubai and he didn’t even take the bait. He said, “Like President Diklis Chump, Ken Paxton has been politically persecuted for years, and every time, voters have seen through it.” That’s my line! That’s literally my line! I said that first, 2015, I said it in 2018, I said it in 2020, I say it every single day, it’s the truest sentence ever written, and now they’re using it on Ken because it FITS. Beautiful. Coincidence? Not a coincidence.

They went after him on securities. Dismissed by the SEC — dismissed! They went after him on state charges, hung it over his head for nearly a decade, and it ended with a $300,000 restitution payment, which is what you pay when you want the nightmare to be OVER, not an admission, they love to say admission, NO. They went after him with impeachment — the Texas House, very sad people, very weak — and the Senate ACQUITTED him. Acquitted! Eight of his own deputies turned on him, went to the FBI, and they made $6.6 million out of it, which tells you everything about who got rich in that story, and it wasn’t the state of Texas. And the FBI — the FBI that raided my beautiful home in Mar-a-Lago, the FBI with the agents who were CRYING at the top of the building, remember that? — that FBI looked at Ken Paxton and closed the file. Closed it! Nobody talks about the closed files. Only the open ones. Very unfair.

Meanwhile the man has done WELL. Let’s be honest, he’s done very well. Started with less than $175,000 — a house and some stocks, small, very small — and now he’s got a net worth of about $5.5 million and at least a dozen properties, beautiful properties, and his wife — wonderful woman, Angela, a state senator, very loyal — they’ve got the trust thing set up properly, very legal, lots of lawyers, the best lawyers, I know the best lawyers, they come to me crying. And 19 foreign trips with state security — Greece, Italy, South Mexico, all of them — more than the governor! More than the lieutenant governor! These are important meetings. You can’t do the important meetings from Austin, Austin is a disaster, a SAD liberal disaster, the music is terrible.

Now the polls. The FAKE polls. They’ve got Talarico — nice smile, very religious, talks about Jesus a lot, which I also do, more than anybody, nobody’s ever done more for the Christians than me, ask the evangelicals, they’re crying in the aisles — they’ve got Talarico up by a point or two, and they’re writing the obituary already. The Democrats haven’t won a statewide race in Texas since 1994. NINETEEN NINETY-FOUR. That’s before almost everyone running was in politics, that’s practically the dinosaur age, and now they think three weeks of Dubai stories are going to flip the whole thing? The Texas voter — and I know the Texas voter, I had the biggest crowds in Texas, you should have seen the San Antonio crowd, MAGNIFICENT, ten thousand people minimum, probably more, the fake news said “hundreds,” which is a lie so stupid it should be illegal — the Texas voter does not vote for the smiling file clerk. The Texas voter votes for the fighter. TEXAS TOUGH. That’s real. That’s not a slogan, that’s a way of life.

They said this about me. Every month, for ten years, they said THIS is the one. The tape. The indictment. The raid. The mugshot — beautiful mugshot, by the way, very strong, the best mugshot since Elvis, maybe better. And every time, the people showed up. The people always show up. That’s the thing the smart people in Washington have NEVER understood, and my uncle — great professor at MIT, very smart genes in our family, the best genes — even HE said, “Donald, the people are smarter than the consultants.” He said that. Maybe he didn’t say exactly that. Something like that. Tremendous man.

Three weeks. Ken Paxton is going to win, and when he does, every one of these people — the Journal, the prosecutors, the special prosecutor guy who says it’s “amazing” he’s never been held accountable, SAD guy, very jealous — every one of them will say they had it right all along and just phrased it poorly. That’s how you know you won. Watch November 3. It’s going to be BEAUTIFUL.
