Surviving 13-year-old in stable condition; relationships not disclosed
Michigan State Police said officers responded Friday morning to reports of a shooting at a home about 170 miles (270 kilometers) northwest of Detroit, where they found the bodies of a 16-year-old boy, a 45-year-old man, and a 40-year-old woman. A 13-year-old girl found at the scene was hospitalized in critical condition.
Hickman fled the scene, prompting a large-scale search, police said. Investigators later found the body of a 53-year-old man at a second home, and then located Hickman dead in a wooded area alongside a 29-year-old woman, Michigan State Police said.
Police said all five victims died of gunshot wounds. The 13-year-old girl who survived was in stable condition as of Saturday.
Police released the ages and genders of the victims on Saturday but did not specify whether any of the victims were related to Hickman or to one another.
