Trump Mobile’s T1 was advertised as US-built and shipped within months
A BBC News video report published August 22 documents how Trump Mobile’s promised “T1” smartphone saw changes to its advertised US manufacture, design, and delivery timeline over the year following its summer 2025 launch by US President Donald Trump’s eldest sons. Some customers remained waiting for their phones at the time of the report.
When Trump Mobile launched in the summer of 2025, the company advertised that a “T1” smartphone would be built in the US and shipped to customers within months, according to the BBC report. The phone was promoted as a “Made in the USA” device at launch.
Over the year that followed, key details about the phone’s manufacture, design, and delivery date changed, the BBC report found. Some customers who placed orders during the launch period remained waiting for their phones at the time of the August 2026 report.
