So Canada — and I have always said Canada, wonderful country, many friends there, many people, the BEST people, they tell me all the time, “Diklis, you are the most fair president we have ever dealt with, EVER” — Canada just pulled out of the Gordie Howe Bridge ceremony. The bridge opening. Named after a tremendous man, a WINNER, Gordie Howe, the toughest hockey player who ever lived, tougher than any Canadian politician by a LOT, very low energy, very low IQ, frankly — but that is what they did. They pulled out. Because of me. Because of my tariff. The 50 percent tariff, very strong, very tough, very SMART, exactly what I said I would do and exactly what I promised the American people, and I did it, very fast, very powerful.
And here is the thing — and I have been saying this for YEARS, before anyone else, I was the FIRST person to say it — Canada has been RIPPING US OFF. On dairy. On automobiles. On everything. Discriminating against American products, very unfair, very DISCRIMINATORY, the worst discrimination you have ever seen. And when I did something about it, when I announced the tariff, a beautiful, powerful, 50 percent tariff like nobody has ever seen on Canada — they CRUMBLED. They collapsed. And now their little minister — Gregor Robertson, never heard of him, nobody has heard of him, very low profile, not a smart person based on what I am hearing, many people are saying this — their little minister sends out an EMAIL, an EMAIL, saying it would be “inappropriate” to have a ceremony with America. Inappropriate! You know what is inappropriate? RIPPING OFF the American worker on dairy for thirty years. THAT is inappropriate. A bridge ceremony is a BRIDGE CEREMONY. But they cannot handle it. They cannot handle standing next to a WINNER.
And the FAKE NEWS — the failing, disgusting, lowest-rated, most dishonest media in history — they are trying to spin this like it is a problem for ME. For Diklis Chump. The man who negotiated the toll deal that the so-called EXPERTS said could not be done. Many people, very smart people, said it was IMPOSSIBLE. Cannot be done. The Canadians will never agree. And I did it. In weeks. Beautiful deal. The best deal. But the media doesn’t report that, no, they want to talk about Canada CANCELLING, like that is somehow bad for America. It is not bad for America. It is bad for CANADA. Because they just showed the entire world — the ENTIRE world — that they are scared of Diklis Chump. Terrified. And you know what? They SHOULD be.
Because the bridge — this is what kills me, this is the part that nobody gets — the bridge was delayed for YEARS because of CANADA. Because of their unfair, discriminatory, very NASTY policies. And then I fixed it. Diklis Chump fixed it. Got the toll agreement done, negotiated it with Canada, got the opening scheduled, beautiful opening, the biggest crowd in bridge history, believe me, the CROWDS would have been massive, absolutely massive, and now Canada doesn’t want to show up because they know — they KNOW — that every time they sit across the table from Diklis Chump, they LOSE. They lose the deal. They lose the crowd. They lose everything. And they are tired of losing. So they run away. Very weak. Very sad. Very LOW ENERGY.
But you know what? We are having our OWN ceremony. OUR ceremony. Just America. No Canada. Beautiful. The most beautiful ceremony you have ever seen. And I have people — very good people, the BEST people — they are telling me, “Sir, the ceremony without Canada is going to be even bigger, even better, because you don’t have to share the spotlight with people who don’t deserve it.” And I said, you know what, you are RIGHT. You are absolutely right. This is actually the plan. I always said this could happen. I ALWAYS said it. Before anyone else. And now look — Canada is having their own sad little ceremony with nobody there, and America is having the BIGGEST bridge opening in history. Believe me.
