Greens leader Shoebridge denies knowledge of Steele-John dossier

Greens leader David Shoebridge has denied knowledge of an alleged 47-page "secret dossier" containing misconduct allegations against Western Australian senator Jordon Steele-John.
Shoebridge said the document was not "made by, used by, or seen by" his office, responding to reporting by the Nine newspapers first surfacing the dossier on Friday afternoon.
The Guardian reports it has not independently confirmed the document's contents; the dossier was first drafted in 2016 and described how to suppress media coverage of the allegations.
Steele-John, 32, has taken leave from the party room after historical complaints about inappropriate comments made to women between 2017 and 2025 became public, which he rejects.
Shoebridge has referred the matter to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission after the Parliamentary Workplace Support Service said it was unable to act.
