Mandani reviews options to arrest Netanyahu during UN visit

New York City Mayor Zohran Mandani said his administration is reviewing whether city authorities could legally arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over accusations of war crimes, according to an interview published Saturday.
Mandani cited the International Criminal Court's 2024 warrant accusing Netanyahu of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including starvation and attacking a civilian population.
Mandani told The New York Times that Netanyahu "belongs in The Hague" and that his legal team is reviewing the city's options.
