SpaceX rocket stage on course to strike moon Wednesday

A SpaceX rocket upper stage launched more than a year ago is on course to unintentionally strike the moon Wednesday at 5,400 mph, predicted by space tracking expert Bill Gray.
The impact will occur near Einstein Crater on the moon's sunlit western limb and is expected to be visible from the eastern United States, Canada, and much of South America.
Scientists and skygazers are eager to observe the lunar impact, which Gray said will carve out a crater and send up a plume of dust and rubble.
The growing volume of material in Earth's orbit is a concern, Gray said, noting, "Things are getting crowded up there."
