Some Southern California properties at risk of collapse, BBC reports
Post-Tropical Cyclone Rachel reached California and Nevada as a weakening storm over the weekend, the BBC reported. In Southern California, large waves from the storm drove ashore and battered homes, leaving some properties at risk of collapse, according to the broadcaster.
In Nevada, Rachel’s flash flooding struck near the Las Vegas Strip, with water reaching knee-deep in some places, the BBC’s video footage showed.
