Investigators say fight preceded shooting outside Bragg Memorial Stadium

Authorities arrested the 15-year-old suspect on Sunday, according to a statement from Tallahassee police.

Tallahassee police said Monday that the 15-year-old had been charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

The shooting occurred Saturday night just outside Bragg Memorial Stadium after Florida A&M lost to Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the university’s homecoming football game.

Tallahassee police said the area was crowded with people leaving the game and homecoming celebration when the shooting occurred. Social-media video showed people fleeing in terror.

Eleven people were hit by gunfire, and one additional person was injured while running away, police said Sunday.

Six of those hurt were minors, police said Sunday.

At least three of the victims suffered serious injuries, authorities said.

Investigators said a fight broke out before the shooting and that it appeared none of the victims were intended targets.
