Erik Cargile of Charlotte told North Carolina Education Lottery officials he saw a lottery win in his future shortly before the $100,000 Powerball prize he won.
“Lately I have been having visions of winning the lottery,” Cargile said.
Cargile purchased his ticket from the Quik Trip on West W.T. Harris Boulevard in north Charlotte. After the drawing, he scanned his ticket at a lottery terminal and was told he would have to collect his prize at lottery headquarters.
Cargile said he was not sure how much he had won until he arrived at the lottery office.
